No option to add widgets to the iPhone lock screen on iOS 16

Just updated to ios 16 and there is no option to add widgets to the lock screen, only to change the wallpaper. Any ideas? Thanks!!

I have an iPhone 12 and I updated the software and changed my wallpaper. No matter what I do, the widgets on my Lock Screen don’t update.
