Customize Existing Lock Screen

I just upgraded to iOS 16 and want to add widgets/change the clock font on my existing Lock Screen but it only gives me the option to add a new one. I don’t have that photo saved anymore so if I create a new one I can’t replicate what I have.

Agreed. This is the most appalling, un-Apple-like change they have made in a long time. First, there is no way to change the default font or color. So if you don’t like what they force you to take, you have to go change them every single time you create a new Lock Screen. In addition (I cannot fathom either the logical or technical reason for this), you cannot change or adjust the font or color on an existing Lock Screen. If you want to make a simple change like this, you must create a whole new Lock Screen from scratch! It makes me wonder if the head of Apple User Experience was laid up in the hospital for the last couple of years. How did this design ever get out of the lab?

Finally, I can’t begin to imagine the disaster of changing lock screens using short cuts. Prior to iOS 16, this was a holy mess with images resizing themselves randomly. I can’t wait to see how much fun it will be using Apple’s short cuts with the Lock Screen now.
