iPhone 11 randomly lowers the brightness

I bought an iPhone 11 two days ago. I have every single option that could possibly change the brightness deactivated (for example auto-brightness), yet the screen randomly becomes very dark (not totally black). My iPhone also overheats a lot, and it seems strange to me because it happens way too many times during the day even though the phone is brand new. Does anyone else experience this?

It might me the self-overheating-protection.

See this support article:--> If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch gets too hot or too cold - Apple Support.

For your peace of mind, since your iPhone is covered by warranty, I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.
