iOS 16 iPhone fitness app

Good day, after updating to iOS 16 I checked out the stand alone fitness app for iPhone. It works but the issue I have is that the app doesn’t appear to read past health data from my iPhone. I does show data logged after the update and the app was installed. I also cannot seem to find any settings for the fitness app either. Does anyone have any information on where to find the settings or allow the app to read past health data? As always I appreciate your time. Many thanks.

Hi Malignance,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with the Fitness+ app on your iPhone. We'd like to help.

Since you're not seeing previous data, we'd like to isolate this issue so we can plan the best way to help. When did you update to iOS 16? When updating, it can take some time for all of your iCloud data to restore back to your iPhone so that is important to note. In Settings > Tap your name > iCloud is Health on or off under Apps using iCloud? Are you noticing any other iCloud data that is not showing as expected so far? This will tell us if iCloud synced successfully or not.

Let us know and we'll go from there.

Cheers!
