After updating my iPhone 13 Pro Max to iOS16 I can't get my Apple Watch series 7 to update to Watch OS9. TI've been trying to update through the Watch app on the iPhone and it seems stuck in "Checking for Update..." endlessly. Anyone else having this issue? Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had to download and update iOS 16 on my iPhone first. Then I downloaded watch OS 9.0 on my Apple Watch 7. I thought I was done but OS 9.0 wasn't showing up. So I left the watch on the charger overnight and that's when the OS finally got installed.
