Is there a way to manually re-organize people (not favorites) in the faces collection? It would be helpful to have an automatic alphabetizing, or manual re-sort option.
The only way to sort the People in the order you'd like is manually, click and drag. Just be careful now to drag one onto another as they will be merged.

Once you upgrade your Mac to macOS 13 Ventura, when it will be released in in the fall, you will be able to sort the People album automatically by name, as Apple announces in the preview: macOS Ventura Preview - New Features - Apple, see the paragraph about "Photos".
