iPhone Backup to External HDD

How can I backup my iPhone directly to my external hard drive? My conputer doesn’t have enough storage to hold the backup so I have plugged the external hard drive directly into the phone. I can use Files to move some things but how do I move my over 2tb of photos and/or perform a full backup of the phone?
