Only if the carrier in the UK supports eSIM. If the carrier doesn’t support eSIM then no, it won’t work.

It should. But do know an iPhone purchased in the US will have no warranty in the UK and if you need an iPhone with a physical sim, a US purchased iPhone will not have one.

If you live and will use the phone in the UK. Purchase it in the UK.
