Busy signal when called from home landline

Another thought, verify if your iPhone may have call forwarding enabled.

Also, do you have call waiting enabled?

If call waiting is not enabled, check if your voicemail is working as expected, by not answering an incoming call.

If a call is made from a different landline, does this caller also get a busy signal?

Are other cellular phones able to call your iPhone successfully?

Thank you for reaching out in Apple Support Communities. We understand that your wife hears a busy signal from a landline to your iPhone. We'll be happy to help.

Our recommendation is to see if you have the feature called, "Silence Unknown Callers" turned on. If it's turned on, please turn it off and see if you can receive the landline call. To verify that, please go to Settings > Phone, then scroll down and make sure Silence Unknown Callers is turned off.

Since the issue is only with your landline, then we'd recommend reaching out to the provider for your landline or your wireless carrier for your cellphone to receive additional support on the issue and to make sure the accounts are provisioned correctly.
