The phone started to freeze while I was using it until it stayed frozen for 2 hours and then the screen display turned pitch black. Everything still works perfectly.

So can you turn it on? Try a force restart. Press and very quickly release the volume up button, press and very quickly release the volume down button, then press and hold the side button for about twenty seconds. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.
