Even if you get a trade in kit, you can still take your trade in to your Apple Store and finish the trade there.

No change to your order is necessary. You just won't use the trade in box and will instead take the phone to your store and they'll issue the trade value to your account there.

I do this every year.

If you already submitted the request for mail-in, it can't be done. Otherwise, simply bring it in.
