How did you change the Apple ID?
You can log out of your Apple ID (iCloud) and then log back in with your new Apple ID and Password. NOTE, that you will be signed out of iCloud and Apple Pay as well.
Open Settings ➡️ Apple ID (Your Name at Top) ➡️ Sign Out (All the way in the bottom). After this action is complete, then you can sign back in with your new Apple ID again.
