"Make PDF" in action menu

Hello community, when I'm in an app like the New York Times app and press on the action menu there is an icon called "Make PDF". It seems to work...a circle border fills in progressively until its complete and a green check mark appears (and I think it says "Done"). But I cannot find any produced file. Nothing under "Files" or "Books". A search for the title of the article produces nothing. Is "Make PDF" an apple feature? What I'm trying to do is share certain articles with friends. The Wall Street Journal app allows me use "Markup" on the action menu and then save as a PDF. But the option isn't available on the NYT app and I don't know how to make it available.

Have you installed a “Make PDF” shortcut via your Shortcuts App? From here, an installed shortcut can be enabled in the system Share Sheet.

If you have created, or downloaded shortcut from the Gallery or external source, you’ll need to understand how it is configured to operate/interact with your iPad.

Thank you LotusPilot....yes I did but I can see now that I don't understand the actions properly. The markup action is available on the share button of the Wall Street Journal app and works perfectly. If I'm reading an article I tap share and the article comes up in the markup window. Another tap of the share button and I can send in email, whatsapp, messages etc. Any idea how I can get markup to work in the share button while using the NYT app?
