If your Files app is frozen, here’s how to fix it without deleting the app!

Recently, my Files app froze after downloading a document from Google. Whenever I opened the app, it would always end up showing black screen of the document. I tried turning off my phone but it didn’t work. Deleting the app could’ve worked but I didn’t want to, in case files saved “on my phone” might get deleted.

HOW DID I FIX IT?

-Open the “Mail” app, then compose a new email. Then tap on choose file icon, and find the document that’s causing a trouble and delete it. Do not forget to delete it from the “Recently deleted” too. Then go to your Files app. It will open freely.

iPhone 11, iOS 15
