Clicking sound on iPhone 13

About two weeks ago I started hearing a clicking sound on my iPhone 13. It doesn’t happen on every call, but when it does happen, it is continuous, every few seconds. It happens on both incoming and outgoing calls. I am on the latest version of iOS and it is not coming from notifications. I have restarted my phone a few times, but nothing stops the sound. It makes me feel like my phone is tapped. I also have an Apple watch6 which is linked to my phone and I always wear the watch. The watch also has stand alone capability, so I can answer calls when my phone is not nearby.

As calls are a carrier function, you should start there.

And no, hearing a clicking noise doesn't mean your phone is tapped.
