Apple Pencil straight lines?

I’ve been using an Apple Pencil for several years. When I got a iPad Pro, I got a new pencil. All of a sudden I can no longer draw curves or circles. I cannot erase other than a straight line. Noe even on an angle.

What is happening? I went to settings and nothing seems to address this.

PLEASE HELP!

Make sure the tip of the Apple Pencil is screwed on securely/snugly, but NOT too tight.

Confused hey, my Apple Pencil just doesn’t work smoothly on iPad. I have an iPad Pro 3rd Gen and Apple Pencil 2. My pencil just make weird lines on its own while I’m writing on the screen & if I’m writing a letter there are going to be breaks between it. Can anyone please guide me on how to fix it
