Unwanted crop and zoom in Live Photos after keyframe move

https://youtu.be/kBRZ6ziG7iw

I made explanatory iMovie to present the flaw I feel is not according to Apple’s design! It is disturbing that after tempering with keyframe on Live Photos they get zoomed in and cropped down.

Changing keyframe can lead to different view angle and therefore to crop down but as presented in video above it is also happening in steady photos where crop down is not necessary! So it is a system flaw bar feature.

Therfore solution is to Ken Burn crop if to new keyframe, more polished live feel or just convert the live to still image ! Choice is not available in drop down menu Live>

This is how live photos work. A live photo is a normal photo (the default key photo) together with a short video clip. The video clip is not the same "zoom" as the normal photo - it is (as you have found) slightly higher zoom/crop.

This means if you select any photo except the default key photo then it is actually a frame of the video, and will be slightly cropped/zoomed.

This also applies if you use any of the live photo features - such as long shutter effect.

Please stop manipulating this feed. This is not expected behavior! And again you are lying in your statement! default keyframe has same size and place in live video as new keyframe so no cut out is needed!

when in edit photo I press Live Photo off it stays without crop and without zoom so Live Photo is “not a video where keyframe cuts picture out of it”

live Photo catches 2s that is it purpouse!

later I change keyframe to where I have open eyes! The camera is not moving so there is no zoom needed. So stop lying in feed. Ever worked with video soft?

Explain why is there the crop plus zoom in? (When camera is stationary)

  1. It is rude to accuse someone of lying. People may offer correct or incorrect answers. No one here tells lies. You should apologise.
  2. No one here is "manipulating this feed", whatever that means. You posed a question. Anyone who is a member of the forum may answer.
  3. One thing that discourages people from helping is rude or aggressive responses. Try starting your response with 'Thanks for trying to help...', you'll find people are more inclined to assist you then.
