Someone used my number

Someone sent a text to my friend with my number but I didn’t see anything from my end until she sent a screenshot of our chat

I should look at this page If you think your Apple ID has been compromised - Apple Support (CA)

Also if this is a normal sms or collect call contact your carrier to say to them your number might be compromised
