homekit cannot add accessories

I cannot add accessories to HomeKit. When I try to add accessories I get an "Unable to Add Accessory An unknown error occurred" I have tried to add accessories with my iPhone and iPad Pro and get the same error. I have a HomePod and 2 HomePod mini and two Apple TV added to HomeKit but cannot add anything else?Cannot add accessories to HomeKit

Some accessories don’t like connecting to 5G wifi. There might be a reset button under the Meross switch you press, but I’m not sure for how long, maybe 5 seconds? I’m not family with these particular products.


You might also try forcing your hubs to be an Apple TV by unplugging the HomePod until it’s done

I have tried both in the manufacturers app and in HomeKit. The accessories are HomeKit compatible, they are meross smart switches and LED light strips. I have also tried thru wifi to install the accessories.My next step is to call apple but I am sure they will say to call meross. On my router I can see the accessories trying to connect to wifi.
