After so many years of use, the original battery of your iPhone 5s is too weak to make a cellular or Wi-Fi connection. Have the battery replaced and all will (probably) be well:

I have tried even updating my iPhone 5s but when am in the process of updating it shows that try again later you you don’t have an internet connection at the moment yet an having an active WiFi of which it’s can even use on YouTube but doesn’t want to use it for its update
