Hi there Pentagon2,
We're happy to provide some guidance. While you can't necessarily convert an existing album in photos to a Shared Album, you can add entire albums to a Shared Album in Photos on your iPhone.
To do so, tap to open the album in Photos, then tap the icon with three blue dots in the upper right corner. From there, choose Share Photos, scroll down to see some additional options and choose 'Add to Shared Album'.
