iPhone XR - speaker issue ? Only when I raise phone to my ear ; If I am put phone

I’ve recently have issues whenever I take a call & raise my phone to my ear - my call becomes

garbled & crackling but only on my end of conversation - if I enable speaker the issue is hardly noticed.

Hello,

See this:

If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker

Get help with the microphones on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

And this:

Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth issues caused by wireless interference
