Cable for charging iphone

Is it ok to use any cable for charging my iPhone because I heard I should never use anything other than an Apple cable, is that true? The reason I am asking is that Amazon is selling these 3 in 1 charging cable roll and I would like to get one.

if the cable is approved in your country it should not be able to harm the device
