I didn’t exactly know how to set up AppleCare but I did have one year warranty that ends next year June because the phone was recently bought which was an iPhone 13. I also have proof from the police due to the fact the phone had got stolen in France which I contacted the France police and gave me papers to replace my phone for evidence and I still have the iPhone box .
The standard 1 year warranty does not cover loss/theft. It covers manufacturing defects.
