I lost my iphone and put on the lost mode. I now have a new iphone and have set it up to my icloud- the same one that was used on my lost phone. Does this now unlock the iphone I have lost and no locker keep it in lost mode? Can i still ping the lost phone?

Even if you use the same Apple ID on multiple devices the lost device will not unlock itself. Please do not remove it from your Apple ID / iCloud Account as described earlier.
