Why is Siri spelling out punctuation marks?

I started using an iphone13 pro about 2 months ago, and recently, whenever I use Siri to dictate a text it spells out punctuation, rather than insert the actual symbol. I haven't tried anything other than period, comma, question mark, and exclamation point, but all of them are spelled out, rather than the symbols (. , ? !) being inserted, respectively, which are the ones I use the most.

Ideas?
