How do you add a photo slideshow to apple TV?

I used to be able to play a slideshow of my photos on my apple TV, but

since the latest update it disappeared and I see no option for adding my

own photo slideshow.

Showing slide show on Apple TV impossible! Trying to show an album of about 400 photos as a slide show. When I start, it plays first 20 or so, then repeats while changing one of the slides every few times through. I just want it to work as a slide show for a few hundred pics in an album. Every Article I have found on this topic never gives a solution. I have tried turning off repeat and turning it back on. I have tried re-starting my Apple TV. I deleted almost every app on my Apple TV and I thought that worked. it seemed to display a few more but then started to repeat again before completing all the photos in the album.

For photos in iCloud, you may use the Photos app. Create a slideshow on Apple TV - Apple Support

For photos on a local networked computer (Mac or PC), you may use Home Sharing. View photos from your Mac on Apple TV - Apple Support
