Purchased second hand Apple Watch

I recently purchased a pallet from a pallet liquidation place in bowlinggreen ky, pallet liquidation is refurbished or returned products. And I have this Apple Watch which I can not get into due to not knowing the original owner, I have the serial number and the first name of the owner but that is all. Is there anything that I can do to get this swapped to my account or do I just throw it away.
