My music is not available in Final Cut Pro X

In Final Cut Pro when I go to the Music button to find music for my video, the screen says, "The contents of your Music Library will appear here." But it does not appear. I have legal versions of FCXP and iTunes, with songs that have been paid for and downloaded. How do I get my music in there?

Thank you for helping me

From Add music and sound in Final Cut Pro - Apple Support

"If your Music library includes protected files, they are unavailable. (They do not appear in the browser.)

Note: To use a song you purchased from the iTunes Store in your project, you must be the copyright holder of the song or have express permission from the copyright holder. For more information, see the Final Cut Pro software license agreement (choose Final Cut Pro > About Final Cut Pro, then click License Agreement)."
