In Final Cut Pro when I go to the Music button to find music for my video, the screen says, "The contents of your Music Library will appear here." But it does not appear. I have legal versions of FCXP and iTunes, with songs that have been paid for and downloaded. How do I get my music in there?

Music that you have bought a license to from Apple are probably DRM protected and not available.
The FCP additional content and iMovie content should appear when selected in the popup in the upper right.
Thank you Tom. I forgot to mention that on my iPhone I have access in iMovie to all of my music but not on my MacBook. No music in FCP or iMovie. It's something related to my MacBook because it works fine on my iPhone, at least in iMovie. Does that help?
No. iOS iMovie allows complete access to your music.
