Disable children’s hotspot feature on their phone

Long time apple phone owner & with TMobile. Two teenage sons who are quite adept at finding work arounds… When we pause their internet for their computers or xbox, they use their hotspots to continue to play. We have tried the cellular changes parental control which didn’t work. TMobile has where you can turn off the hotspot, but it also removes 100%of their data of any kind. Does Apple have a viable solution?

T-Mobile should be able to turn off hotspot support on their particular devices without disabling cellular data all together. Unfortunately, except for parental controls, the ability to use the hotspot is controlled by the carrier, in your case T-Mobile. They should be able to set it so that those 2 devices do not have hotspot support.
