how do you store photos from the macbook pro to the icloud?

How do you backup photos on the MacBook Pro to the Icloud? When I opened my icloud account for the MacBook Pro no photos were present -- just. my desktop and folders

Did you enable "Photos" in the Apple ID settings for iCloud in the System Preferences on your MacBook Pro?

Remember, that photos will only be uploaded and synced to iCloud Photos. This is not a backup function, if you delete photos from any of the connected devices, the changes will also be reflected on all devices, including your Mac.


One of the reasons, a backup of your iCloud data is highly recommended.
