Greetings S1_7-3R,
The article you reviewed previously states, ‘You can read and respond directly to emails sent to these addresses and your personal email address is kept private.’ What currently happens when you respond to one of these emails that was forwarded? What is Hide My Email?
Your profile states we’re working with macOS - Set up and use Hide My Email in iCloud+ on all your devices
Set up and use Hide My Email on your Mac
Your device must have macOS Monterey 12 or later.
1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences.
Make sure you’re signed in with your Apple ID. If you are, you see your name at the top of System Preferences. If you don’t see your name, click the Sign In button.
2. To keep your personal email address private, do any of the following:
• In Safari: Open a website, click in an email field, then click Hide My Email to generate a new random email address or use one you’ve already created for the website.
• In Mail: (macOS Monterey 12.1 or later) Open a new message window. In the From field, choose Hide My Email in the pop-up menu.
• In System Preferences: Click Apple ID, click iCloud in the sidebar, then click Options next to Hide My Email. You can see and manage all your unique, random addresses.
For more information about Hide My Email on your Mac, see Hide your personal email address in Safari on Mac in the Safari User Guide for Mac, Use Hide My Email in Mail on Mac in the Mail User Guide for Mac, and Use Hide My Email on Mac in the macOS User Guide.
