Apple TV 4K screen blank

How to reset Apple TV once we can’t get anything on tv screen? After selecting the incorrect resolution I’m stuck with black screen. Holding down menu and volume up not doing anything

For black screens caused by invalid resolutions, see here:

If your Apple TV doesn't turn on - Apple Support

• If you see the Apple logo and then a black screen, hold Menu and Volume Down for 6 seconds, then release. Your Apple TV will switch to a new resolution every 20 seconds. Select OK to choose a resolution or Cancel to quit.

But it seems you already tried something with those keys.

Problem solved after disconnecting the Apple TV cables (power and hdmi). Waited about 5 minutes reconnected and it works again. Frustrating experience. I was considering buying a new device since my Apple TV is about 13 months old and not under guarantee. It would be easier than dealing with Apple Store

I mentioned menu and volume up but it was menu and volume down as suggested on another post
