My Safari won't use google

Every time I try to use google platform on Safari on my MacBook it automatically changes to Yahoo, and I can't change it to Google. Any recommendations for changing it. I've tried different things but none works

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.6

Follow previous First but if you mean the search engine - what have you chosen in Safari Preferences >> Search tab.
