photos synchronized with finder

I synced a, part of my photos from my iPhone to my MacBook with Finder, but now I can't find the photos anywhere.

anyone have an idea where those photos are then?

Missing items in Photos on MacOS I have approx 20,000 photos taken on my iPhone that are stored in iCloud. They all show up on my phone and on the iCloud.com website . I bought an M2 MacBook Air about two months ago, and there are around 2,000 photos / videos missing from the Photos app. Is there a way to force it to sync? What is the solution to be able to see them all on the Mac?

The first place I'd look is in the Pictures folder and then the Downloads folder.

Next look in the Recents section of a Finder window sidebar:
