iOS 15.6.1 killing my battery life

Why is this update killing my battery so fast....I'm a minimal user and until the update I could go days with a charge, now it dies within a day.... This is ridiculous!

Hey there Ecsacchetti,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

If your battery is depleting quickly, we recommend following the actions under the "Tips for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch" section to help improved your battery performance:

Batteries - Maximizing Performance - Apple

If you continue to experience issues, check your battery health as outlined under the "Your battery's maximum capacity" section here:

iPhone Battery and Performance - Apple Support

As mentioned in that section:

A normal battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 500 complete charge cycles when operating under normal conditions. The one-year warranty includes service coverage for a defective battery. If it is out of warranty, Apple offers battery service for a charge. Learn more about charge cycles.

Keep us posted.

Have a great day!

Well I thank you for the generic reply to a specific question. This battery killing was obviously brought on by the 15.6.1 iOS update. There is a lot of chatter on multiple forums stating this same issue.

This has nothing to do with my hardware, but rather Apple's forced iOS update which immediately began killing my battery. Is there a solution for that? That's the only question I need answered.
