iPhone & carrier purchase
I would like to purchase an iPhone and carrier but would like a new phone number. How can can I do that? When attempting to purchase it asks for current phone number.
You have two choices:
Keep the two purchases separate (you can buy an "unlocked and SIM free" iPhone through the official Apple channels,
then you will contact your favorite cellular carrier and purchase a new traffic plan for the new phone number).
or,
(if your carrier is an Apple Authorized Reseller) buy the device and the cellular plan from them directly.
