changing ipad ownership

I got a new ipad so gave my husband my old one. I erased all my info and we registered it to his Apple ID. I then removed it from my Apple ID devices. BUT...now there is a message on his (the old one) that says "some account services require me to sign in again" and comes up with my ID wanting my password etc. How can we get that message off of his ipad? It's so annoying! Thanks!
