Run Time error 32815 application-defined or object-defined error

I am running Microsoft Word 16.63.1 on a MAC OS Catalina 10.15.7. Every time I open word (docx or xlsx) I get a 32815 run time error. How can I correct this without hitting END END END every time I work on a document? I recently installed Adobe Creative Cloud. I subsequently updated my OS and then Microsoft Office (WORD).

Hi eetoo,

You mentioned that it may have started after you installed Adobe Creative Cloud. Have you ran through any isolation or troubleshooting steps to see if the two processes may be conflicting? If not, try to quit the Adobe Creative Cloud process using Activity Monitor on your Mac before opening Microsoft Word. This article will help: Quit an app or process in Activity Monitor on Mac - Apple Support

1. In the Activity Monitor app on your Mac, find all Adobe Creative Cloud processes in the list, and select each one individually.
2. Click the Stop button in the upper-left corner of the Activity Monitor window.
3. If given the option between Quit and Force Quit, choose Quit: This is the same as choosing File > Quit within an app. The process quits when it’s safe to do so. If quitting the process could cause data loss or interfere with another app, the process doesn’t quit.

If you're able to open the Microsoft Word document successfully after you quit the Adobe Creative Cloud process(es), you've isolate the issue to a conflict between the two programs. You'll want to reach out to either Microsoft Support or Adobe Support for further guidance.

If it continues, let us know. We have a few other steps that may help.

Kind Regards.
