How do I enable a old iPad model a1416.

I was given an old iPad from a co worker a few months back. Not sure what generation it is or the pass code. We tried all the passcodes she gave us and it disable the iPad. We are unable to connect it to a computer because iTunes is not compatible with chrome. What else can we do? We were really looking forward to using it this school year.
