Why don't all the fonts shown in Font Book appear in the application Pages?

Preview not showing all fonts that are installed and showing in the Font Book I'm a teacher and often I need to add my student's name or a date to a PDF file which I can easily do on Preview. Font Installation Problem I'm having trouble installing fonts in Font Book. When I drag the font (in this case Bembo) into the My Fonts window, it tells me it's already installed, but Bembo doesn't appear either in My Fonts or All Fonts. This is happening with multiple fonts. I'm stumped. Thanks for any suggestions.

Be careful what you wish for, as my Pages Font menu is already approaching infinity…
