iPhone 12 case falling apart

Should the case really fall apart this badly in under a year?! This doesn’t feel like typical apple quality…feel really let down, there’s damage on every single corner after very benign useage. I take great care of my tech. Went to the Apple store and they said “nope that’s just normal wear and tear, we can’t replace that”. Bizarre! Anyone else getting this crappy quality and weird customer service?

I have an iPhone 11 Pro and the Apple silicone case I bought for it has degraded surprisingly fast. Like yourself I take care of my tech. Both my kids also have found their Apple silicone cases falling apart without mistreating the phones.

What I find particularly curious is that a silicone case I bought for an iPhone 6 many years ago has weathered well. I can only surmise that the build quality has reduced - possibly due to Apple using a different manufacturer and/or materials.

Yes! Same for me! So dissapointed! The sil case cost 49.00!!! I am looking into getting it replaced. Clearly it's defective. Should not be happening. My husband has a similar sil case for 6 years + and it's just now starting to fail. Obviously, something starts to break down in the materials and instead of Apple removing this product from its shelves, they continue to sell inferior phone cases! In that case, they should be replacing them. I am sure there are many others in the same boat!
