Pause during workouts

why does my Apple Watch keep pausing during workouts? Has nothing to do with me accidentally pushing any side buttons.

Apple Watch Keeps Pausing My Apple Watch Series 7 keeps pausing my workout. I have auto-pause turned off and I also have press to pause turned off as well. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a solution? I also have to wear the watch on the inside of my wrist, as that’s the only way it seems it’ll sometimes track my workout. The issue is worse if I wear the watch properly. I have also ensured my Apple Watch is up to date.

Turning off wrist detection alone will resolve the issue, but you’ll have to do it every time before starting workout. Apple’s support team’s response to this problem is frustrating, as they clearly acknowledge the issue but choose to ignore it. They keep suggesting turning off auto pause in the settings, but everyone knows that this isn’t the cause of the problem.
