Apple TV Kids profile

I'm guessing this has been asked before but didn't find it in the search.

Do we have an idea of when the Apple TV software will allow us to have fully different profiles/accounts?

I have my account with my appleid and even have a kids account with their appleid - but despite that MOST apps (even the apple ones such as photos) still link to my account when their account is selected.
