Getting my watch to chime

Apple Watch 7. Before the most recent update, I had it set to chime the hour, and vibrate. Since the update, the settings haven’t changed, but my watch no longer chimes the hour, or when a timer is done. I use those chimes to help me time multiple procedures. Help!

hour chime wont work unless screen is awake My hour chime on my Apple Watch no longer works unless the screen is awake. I can test this by turning the chime on and off in the watch all on my phone and if the screen is asleep the chime doesn’t happen just the taps. only if I wake the screen does it make the bell or bird chirp sound. So now I never hear the chime because my series 4 is usually got the screen off on my wrist when I’m not looking at it. is there a new setting I’m missing? or just bug number 34 with the latest update and I’ll have to deal with it or buy a watch with an always on display?

Thank you! What a relief to have the chimes back! (And I’m smacking myself for not remembering that a reset is the best answer)
