Trying to create more space on my MacBook Pro which is running BigSur 11.6.5 and a tune up tool revealed an app called Install MacOS Monterey which is 12.5GB. Can I remove it without it causing issues?

Monterey 12.5 is stable and the user has done due diligence and verifing what the System Requirements are.

The current stable version of Big Sur is 11.6.8 released July 20, 2022
I have to be honest and confess not to have realised that I should have updated the OS version I was running! However is 12.5 considered stable as I have been caught previously by updating to a new OS too early in its life?
Yes. You can drag it to the bin and delete it. It should be in your Applications folder.
It will also delete itself if you run the installer to get your Mac to macOS Monterey...
