iCloud backup
Is there anyway to make my phone do an icloud backup? Its my dads phone and we want to get photos and videos of it.

Yes, see the instructions in How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch with iCloud
Note that you need Wi-Fi and a power source (for most iPhones).
If by 'backup' you mean getting photos to iCloud you can upload photos to iCloud Photos. See Set up and use iCloud Photos.
