There is no way to search the iTunes store for songs or CDs to buy for Mac. Instructions don't match reality.

Apple Music app on desktop keeps trying to sell me Apple Music subscription, which I don't want.

How do you search for music in the itunes store on a mac? Apparently, this is an issue that's been a problem for people for years now, judging by the similar questions in that time frame. I think one of the best threads on this isn't in the form of a question, but rather a statement, notably: There is no way to search the iTunes stor… - Apple Community Anyway, would be great to see that there is now finally a way to overcome this deficiency.

searching iTunes store? How.... I am trying to search the itunes store. My mac runs Monterey. Like many others on this forum, the new music app on my mac does not let me. I have read replies to countless questions where the solution appears to be to go to music>preferences>general and click show both apple music and itunes store. I have both ticked. There is no box to modify "restrictions". When I go to search I can still only search my library - there are not three options on the right hand side to select what to search. How do I get these options to appear on the top right hand side to enable searching the itunes store?
