Mail content slow to load

Apple Mail takes forever to show email content in the Preview window, sometimes up to 2 minutes. This happens for all accounts, every day. iCloud is enabled and online. It is not the Internet connection. On Monterey 12.5 and started having this issue after the last update. Booting in Safe mode doesn't change anything and neither does changing Privacy settings by unchecking Protect Mail Activity. Any thoughts? Other threads on this topic have gone dark.

Hi bettercallsaul,

Thank you for posting in Apple Support Communities! Does this only happen with Mail? What is the available storage capacity on your Mac? You can confirm by going to the Apple menu (  ) > About this Mac > Storage.

If your storage is low, you may want to free up some space by deleting files, apps, photos and videos that you do not need. Check out more information on freeing up storage space here: Free up storage space on your Mac - Apple Support.

You can also find additional troubleshooting steps here: If your Mac runs slowly - Apple Support

Hope that helps!

bettercallsaul,

Thank you for confirming that for us! Does the content load instantly when using the webmail? Have you disabled and enabled the iCloud email to see if this continues to occur? You mentioned that this happens with all accounts, have those accounts been removed and re-added as well?

Check out some additional troubleshooting steps you can take here: If you can't receive email on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

If this continues, you may want to reach out to Apple Support for further assistance. Depending on your region, you may be able to reach them here: Get Support.

Take Care!

Understand, we are all working Remotely from all around the world.

Therefore, we do not have the On-Hands experience the User ( you ) have with this computer.

The next best thing for us to having a semi - actual On-Hand experience  with this computer is to follow the steps below

Download the Application Etrecheck directly from the Developer.

The application is free or paid from added features.

It will take a Snap Shot -  both the hardware and software.

The Report will Not Reveal Any Personal Information.

Post back the Full Report - copy and paste - using the Additional Text Icon ( 3rd Icon to last )

We can have a look at the report for possible issues and may have possible suggestions to resolve the issues.
