All at once I push contacts on my tool bar and it is a My Card there with my number and email…I have to now go to home page and hit the contacts icon there to see my contacts..how do I get my contacts back to toolbar button

Does this mean you are using the Phone app and press “Contacts” on the bottom?

Don’t you see an alphanumeric string running vertically down the right side of the display? Tap one of those characters to position yourself within your Contacts.
